Sarah earned a BA in Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia and as well as a Holistic Health and Healing Arts degree from University of New Mexico Taos. She has also studied Medical Anthropology in Belize and has worked as a Behavioral Therapist with children with autism in Northern Virginia as well as a Wilderness Therapy Instructor in Utah.
As a student of Dr. Lilly Blecher’s Nutrition class at the University of New Mexico, Sarah knew right away she wanted to learn as much from her as possible. Dr. Lilly recognized in Sarah a kindred spirit and knew she had found the missing piece to help build her lifelong dream. Before long, Sarah started working as Dr. Lilly’s assistant at her private practice, and has proven invaluable as she has grown with Dr. Lilly’s practice and has been pivotal in launching Taos Whole Health.
Sarah is passionate about patient care and helping facilitate the healing process from the moment patients walk through the door. She uses her innate love of people and her intuitive understanding of their needs to direct them towards the care they are seeking, and to coordinate all of the logistical components so indispensable in providing complete care.
Sarah is a gardener, farmer and serious athlete, competitive in road/trail running, cycling, swimming, kickboxing, and roller derby, who also makes time for hiking in the New Mexican wilderness with her dog, Choya.
